tiny newsletter edition #9: fake spring, real earworm
hi, happy march!
today is a fake spring day – sunny skies, warming temps, and a bird or two chirping. sounds nice, right? it is, but i know from experience it's about to go back to snowing every day until may. so today's #1 priority is to enjoy it!
this week, i…
🏋🏻♀️ wore bala bangles on treadmill walks. i’ve seen these all over instagram but recently had them prescribed to me (lol) by my obgyn to ward off future osteoporosis. my doctor's recommendation made me laugh, but osteoporosis is no joke! i’m using the 2lb weights on my wrists or ankles. honestly, it’s kind of fun – i feel like i’m tinx!
🍴 made challah french toast. it’s my cousin mai’s easy recipe! crack 1 egg in a bowl and add a generous splash of your favorite milk/mylk and a small splash of vanilla. stir! cut challah bread (best from a jewish bakery) into thick slices and soak each side in the batter. spray a pan with olive oil and cook ~2 mins on each side on medium low. top with berries and maple syrup. enjoy!
🎧 listened to coming soon by annie dirusso. i told you i'm not the person to ask about music, but did i also tell you i listen to songs on repeat again and again 1000x over? it’s probably a bad habit, but i do this while working all. the. time. when a song’s on repeat, my projects get done faster. idk what this says about me! but this rec is my looped song du jour.

🧵 an ode to tailors 🧵 do you have an item of clothing that you adore but it doesn’t fit you quite right? may i suggest taking it to a tailor? this is my big trick for special pieces, buying second hand, or just when shopping in general. if you’re out and about and nothing fits, buy one size up and take it to your local tailor. you'll be shocked at how good the alterations make you feel.
