📚 read crying in h mart. this book received serious acclaim last year and i'm so glad i finally sat down with it. it’s a memoir that chronicles the author’s (who happens to be the lead of the pop band japanese breakfast) life growing up korean american in oregon and losing her mother to cancer when she was 25. it’s beautifully written and will leave you teary-eyed. 5 stars, highly recommend.

🍫 drank chocolate almond breeze. ok, did everyone know about this besides me?! i’ve passed this at the grocery store countless times and it never crossed my mind to put it in my cart. my big discovery of the week is this: it’s delicious served both cold straight from the fridge and warmed up for a minute in the microwave.

🦭 was hit on by a navy seal. i just think this is so funny, who on earth could be more different than me than a literal…navy seal?! i do not know if this is the content you want to read about, but i did have a fun and flirty time with this nice bookworm boy who had great eyes. i looked up his training regimen afterwards, it is crazy!! good thing i told him i like doing youtube pilates videos!!! love to be impressive.

🌾 an ode to allergy testing 🌾 last week i got a full allergy test done after a lifetime of hit or miss medications and one very scary trip to the er my first year of college. turns out i’m not allergic to dust and mold like i thought i was, but instead to nearly every type of grass. lmao guess i'll be taking zyrtec before any picnic from here on out! if this is something that’s crossed your mind, the process was painless, took 20 mins, and was fully covered by insurance.
