tiny newsletter edition #22: city details

hi friends,

happy friday! i'm packing to go back to michigan for a work retreat, and i can't believe i've been here for nearly a month! this week, i wanted to share a few fun things i've learned about nyc from living here so far.

🐕 dogs are allowed to be off-leash before 9am in central park. s/o to friend of the newsletter, miss eleonora saravalle, for clueing me in on this one. i couldn't get over how the dogs truly run the park on my morning walks! it makes for a rly uplifting start to the day, seeing them all trotting around happily.

🧼 a week's worth of dirty laundry can be washed, folded, and delivered back to you for $12. i won't do this all the time, but i can't believe the luxury of it all. look at how they bring it back to you!! i went to a spot rec'd by my neighbor, who surprised me with a plethora of neighborhood options.

🚶🏻‍♀️in this pedestrian city, you almost never need to actually stop. at every intersection, there's bound to be at least one walk signal on, or a direction cars and bikes aren't coming. instead of mapping exactly how i'm getting somewhere, i've started looking up the intersection and letting the streets guide me. kind of fun!

~ bonus section ~

🌿 an ode to gotham greens vegan pesto 🌿 listen, there's a lot of pre-made pestos on the market, and i'm here to tell you that this one is the best. i've only seen it at whole foods, and i picked one up in union square after going to the farmer's market on monday. all week long, i was reminded that it truly is a 5 star rec.

💌 and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
