tiny newsletter edition #32: not a recap!!
hello hello!
greetings from minnesota!! i am on one final summer trip to minneapolis (for the state fair!) and then home to michigan (my poppa is turning 95!). my packing got a little out of hand this time around, but more on all of that next week.
before leaving, this week i...
🧀 ate goodles mac and cheese. my cousins in montreal introduced me to this brand, their trusted back pocket dinner. it's made with chickpea wheat and hidden veggies and i swear it does not taste so far off from kraft. shockingly delicious, esp the cacio e pepe flavor.
📺 watched the flight attendant. i usually go for comedies, but this thriller captivated me. the plot follows an alcoholic flight attendant who wakes up in a hotel room next to a murdered man, with no memory of the previous night (!). kaley cuoco is amazing as the lead – 5 stars!
🎧 listened to right back where we started from. my parents must have played this 1976 song by maxine nightingale when i was growing up, i don't know how else i would know it in my bones. if you're in a bad mood, it's an instant fix. "love is good, love can be strong, we've gotta get right back to where we started from."

👃 an ode to nasal rinses 👃 have i ever told you how great nasal rinses are? with all my recent travel, i'm certain this is the reason i haven't gotten sick. here's how you use it–
1. fill the plastic squeeze bottle with 1 packet of the saline solution and distilled water (v important else you can get a brain eating amoeba...sry to scare you but it's true) up to the dotted line.
2. put said bottle into a mug of hot normal water to warm it up (i use my kettle for this).
3. with a stack of tissues in one hand and the squeeze bottle in the other, stand with your head positioned over your bathroom sink, slightly down.
4. hold your breath, place the nozzle of the bottle directly onto one of your nostrils and gently squeeze. get as much liquid out as you can!
5. you will absolutely need to blow your nose. then do the same with the other nostril.
6. wash the bottle out with soap and normal water, and repeat 1x a day or whenever you need a little clean out.
💌 and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
