how are you doing? it has been a depressing week of epic proportions reading supreme court justice alito’s leaked draft opinion of which the final version will most likely overturn roe v. wade next month. all i want to do is scream.
i donated to a local michigan abortion fund and looked into trainings to become an abortion doula when i’m in nyc (do you know anyone who has done this?). mostly, i felt helpless.

🥐 gobbled up treats from my favorite detroit spot, ochre bakery, unknowingly before and tearfully after they announced that they'll be closing up shop on may 15th. this is a reminder to cherish the magical places in your life – you never know how long they'll be around.
📚 re-read a year in provence. it's a beautifully written account from peter mayle, a british man who achieves his lifelong dream of living in the countryside of france. full of delightful and transporting descriptions, it's a bit of a comfort read for me. 5 stars!
😒 fought an angry and painful chin zit. so far, i'm losing. i heard good things about this gel and am testing it out rn, but it's too soon to share results. any recs? also, do pimple patches work? write me back and lmk.

🍠 how to roast a sweet potato 🍠 i love sp's and even though you can cook them in the microwave, imo they taste better from the oven. plus, it's so easy! scrub the skin and wrap your sp in aluminum foil. place on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hr @ 425 degrees fahrenheit. if it's larger than usual, add 15-20 mins. that's it! my mom's recipe for star of the show, sweetest ever sweet potatoes.
