tiny newsletter #65: my mom came to town!!

hello hellooooo,

last weekend, my mom came to stay w me to celebrate her 63rd bday! and wow, did we hit the city hard. over 3 days, we walked 25 miles. kinda crazy, manhattan is only 13.4!

so, a few favs! together, we...

πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³ toured the un. for all they have and haven't done for diplomacy, i was blown away by their interior design lol. blue leather chairs! gold leaf walls! there's virtual tours too, if you'd like.

πŸ‘Ÿ walked across the brooklyn bridge. we did this at 7am on the way to bk and then again at noon on the way back. early am is the time to go, we had the bridge nearly all to ourselves.

🌷 visited the conservatory garden. way uptown on e 105th st, it’s a beautiful spot that’s currently chock full of tulips and wisteria in full bloom. ty to fotn becca schwarz for this rec!!

🍰 ate linzertore. the neue galerie, a museum for austrian and german art, has a lovely cafe w a menu section devoted to cake. the slice was so good we looked up a recipe while eating it.

πŸ–ΌοΈ saw georgia o'keeffe at moma. this exhibit displayed pastel, charcoal, and watercolor works of hers and was titled 'to see takes time'. isn't that a beautiful truth? here's a virtual tour too!

i have the world's best mom and it was so special to have her here all weekend. do you think i can convince her and my dad to move to nyc too?? one visit at a time!!

πŸ’Œ and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
