happy passover! i love this holiday, all about the israelites' freedom from slavery in ancient egypt. like most jewish festivities, it can be summarized by: they tried to kill us, we won, let's eat!

🫓 enjoyed the seders. this was the first passover w my whole fam since covid, a real treat! my cousins' kids are now old enough to read the four questions, historically my responsibility. thrilled to hand over the reins!

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 laughed a lot w my fam. “it was the best deal!" -my mom, defending her ludicrously capacious jug of lotion. “that's MY hat" -my dad, on what is most certainly my hat. “i have extra quinoa" -my brother, unsolicited, on bfast, a meal for which quinoa is not known. they're all that's missing in nyc. 

🦌 said hi to the deer. like magic, my parent's backyard always has at least one deer hanging out in it. they feel like an extension of our home, a pet we never had. this pic is like a where's waldo, but spot the deer instead!

😘 an ode to barton's almond kisses 😘 my fav passover candy is this chocolate-caramel chew w roasted almonds. they've been out of production in recent yrs, but are now back!! 10/10, regardless of holiday celebrations.
