this week i passed a major nyc milestone – the first cockroach in my apt. he appeared at 12:21am on sat while i was baking cookies, ugh! i heard a strange clattering sound and then it was an hour of panicking, tracking him down, and a v messy book and vacuum one-two punch. no one told me how fast they are!!

🎧 listened to here it goes again. i remember watching this song's music video in middle school and being wowed by their synchronization, lol. today, it's a great song to walk fast to.
📺 watched the luckiest girl alive. well, friend of the newsletter jessica lee and i went to a screening for it a few weeks ago, and now it's out on netflix! it's dark and intense, but mila kunis is excellent in it.
🎃 appreciated my neighborhood's halloween decor. imo it feels like a public good, as if the owners know how special it is to have a building here and are sharing its magic with the rest of us. i'm grateful!
