tiny newsletter #144: world's worst repeat event

hi there,

what's there to say you don't already know? it's been a dreadful week, a week that shows how much hate is alive and well in america. not a surprise, but a deeply saddening sweep.

i'm afraid of what's on the horizon, i know you are too. you don't need to hear this from me! my mom, always the same, encouraged us all to “have fun while we still can."

so maybe kiss someone this wknd or stay out late dancing or walk through a park or find some water to stare at. call a friend, cook soup, stretch your limbs, or stay in bed.

but next wk will come and doing something to feel connected w the people you love will be a balm. you aren't alone, don't forget it.

i'm looking at: a spot-on comic my dad shared, an article about the gender voting divide esp in gen z from jia tolentino, and a v sweet photo i took at the nyc marathon last wknd.

i'm sending you a hug just like that one and will be back w something cheerful next week. xoxoxo aud
