📚 read if lost. clint bowman's debut poetry collection transported me to appalachia –a place i've never been but now feel privy to a slice of– and the people who call it home. his vignettes are painted line by line and i found myself reading out loud to catch every detail.

i received an early copy bcuz it was published by fotn andrew mack's loblolly press (!!!). so proud, it's beautiful! my fav poem in it is rural tradition, snag a copy here and lmk yours. go andrew go!!

🎨 saw alex katz's seasons at moma. this 97 yr old's series of 4 paintings are up til sunday. there's one for each szn displayed in a space w lots of seating. i stayed as long as i could, id'ing the order he layered the branches. (1, 2, 3,4). 

🎧 listened to the becoming you podcast. nyu prof suzy welch's class ‘becoming you' helps students find the career path that matches their values, interests, and aptitudes. her pod version is chatty and full of helpful exercises. 

🥥 ate island way sorbet. fotn annie chen reminded me about this tropical sorbet, which comes in a half-shell of fruit. we both loved it as kids and it's still a winner today. avail at costco, coconut is #1. here's mine + annie's, ha!

😴 an ode to sleep masks 😴 guess what i forgot on my trip home and rly missed? a sleep mask for the plane! i tucked this one in my tote in hopes of better rest in transit today.
