🍊 fresh citrus from ojai, california. friend’s ranches is a family-owned orchard that grows the best citrus i’ve ever had. they ship across the country and it’s such a special treat for someone in a cold climate.

❤️ a heart-stamped notebook. appointed is a paper goods company in dc run by suann song, a woman in biz i really admire! all of her products are made in the us and are such high quality. who wouldn’t want a ‘strawberry red' notebook?! 

💐 flowers from your local florist. if there isn't a florist anywhere near you, try trader joe's! and just sharing for fun – i was gobsmacked by this stunning arrangement, available to order for pickup in nyc.

finally, if you are spending the day with someone, my biggest gift recommendation is quality time. plan out a special meal to cook together, or order a pizza. put your phones away and be present. if you ask me, that’s the best gift of all.
