π tiny newsletter #46: tiny's first holiday gift guide!!
hi friends,
this week on tiny, let's talk gifts! my gifting philosophy is to pick things that feel like real treats, but are also at least a little useful. i.e. a portable speaker, cashmere socks, glitter sponges! here's a few more ideas for anyone, including yourself:
β for the hot drink aficionado β i use this kettle everyday, and i got my mom this frother. i'd treat a coffee fanatic to this stumptown classics trio, a hot cocoa lover to this spicewalla set, and a tea fan to this kolkata chai co mix. or perhaps a delightful sugar mouse!
ππ» for the bath & beauty buff ππ» i adore this lotion and bathrobe, swear by this floss, and want this glitter eyeshadow. i'd combine dr. teal's epsom salts with a bath bomb, a necessaire set, or this eggwhite face soap, which is v cute irl. candle, anyone? (tomato, fig, teeny unscented w a stand).
π¨ for the artist-in-training π¨ i own and love these mini stork scissors and japanese watercolors, which i'd wrap up with brushes and a pad of paper. or, maybe they'd like this wonderful book on color combos, cmyk codes included. and for an activity, how about a block printing kit or a frank stella puzzle.
π©π»βπ³ for the chef, baker, or eater π©π»βπ³ i highly rec my utensil holder and i got my dad chocolate-covered licorice. silpat baking mats are worth the hype and i'd pair one w fancy cinnamon or vanilla beans. for savory tastes, consider chic smoked fish, a special box of pasta, or a bucket of flaky salt to make them laugh.
π for nyc's #1 fan π i have zabar's oven mitts and i smile everytime i use them. perhaps they'd like a subscription to nymag or the new yorker. or a baseball cap from the met! if you're rly going all out, you could send them brunch from russ & daughters. and these chocolate taxis are perfect.
β€οΈ for someone who needs nothing β€οΈ a donation to a local non-profit in their name, a handwritten letter sent in the mail, a batch of homemade granola (or the best boxed brownies), or a visit if they live far away. time together is the best gift of all, and you never need to wrap it.
π and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
