🌞 tiny newsletter #145: los angeles recap

hello hello,

the world keeps turning from last wk to today and i went to la to celebrate love! watching fotn anna thompson marry a v nice man named dam was so special. congratulations to my beautiful friends❣️!

the rest of my trip was also a real fotn affair - lucky me! tysm to madeline helland for hosting me + tour guiding. plus, i got to see gabby fox, emma gyorgy, lauren falls dennis, and lilly tyson.

in la, we...

🍰 happily overate: seeded + sesame toast at bub and grandma's (fotn eliza cuevas developed it yrs ago!), potato pizza and princess cake at quarter sheets, the best bfast at gjusta, a black sesame latte at republique, street tacos at el primo, and mystery wine at vin on rose.

🎨 filled up on art + design: furniture and art showroom the future perfect, an olafur eliasson exhibit (lots of prisms + mirrors) at MOCA, hauser + wirth (in a huge, lovely space), the dreamy grounds at the getty, and this mural at the DTLA proper hotel. 

🛍️ popped into shops: loved every detail at blockshop textiles, tried on pants at rudy jude (me) and olderbrother (madeline), admired the shelves at cookbook, mccall's meat + fish, and erewhon (the haley beiber smoothie tastes like a strawberry milkshake, lol).

🌞 soaked in california: walked the beach in venice, visited the ecology center in san juan capistrano, and used the spotangels app to find free parking all over town. plus, ate all the samples at the hollywood farmer's market – w coast produce has the rest of us beat.
