tiny newsletter edition #14: pink palace on the 4th floor

dear friends,

exciting news: i am officially moving to the big apple! this week, i signed a year lease on a 1 bedroom apartment on the upper east side. living in nyc is a lifelong dream of mine, and i am so frickin excited!!! check out my cutie building – i'm all 3 windows on the top floor! 

i've only seen it virtually so far, but here's some fun photos from the listing. as you'll see, by moving in i truly am entering my american girl doll era. the pink living room is 10x15' and has to-die-for crown molding, a decorative fireplace (which i will be filling with books), tall ceilings, and a polly pocket kitchen with a mini fridge. photos: 1, 2, 3

the bedroom is 6x9' and together we're going to find out if my striped duvet cover clashes or looks incredibly chic with the toile wallpaper. i have a full size bed and the bedframe in the listing is a queen, so there'll be a little more elbow room! photos: 1, 2 

lastly, a quick photo of the bathroom, that's all i've got! not as clearly pictured: 3 closets including a walk-in (!), two wall sconces installed in the bedroom, and gorgeous parquet floors, all of which i saw over facetime, haha. 

the previous renter works at architectural digest, so i have her to thank for the paint and wallpaper. and thank her i did, via instagram dm, after finding her like the cia agent i am! my jaw dropped when i saw how she decorated the fireplace each season: 1, 2, 3 (do we think i can carry on this tradition?!) 

anyways, i simply cannot believe this will be my new home. i feel like the luckiest girl in the world!! i can't wait to move in next month and make it my own. i hope you'll visit and if you have any nyc recs, plz send my way – i'll add it to my evergrowing spreadsheet.
