tiny newsletter #80: danish bfast

hej from copenhagen!

this city's vibe is gentle – it's quiet and calm everywhere my cousins and i go. it's been lovely, such a nice change of pace. i can't wait to send you a proper city guide!

but we're still here, it's too soon. so in the meantime, there's two local breakfasts we've had that i'm excited to recreate and think you might like too.

this week, we ate...

🥣 porridge with caramelised milk sauce. perhaps this knocks oatmeal's health benefits down a peg, but caramel made it a total treat. here's grød's 1-ingredient sauce recipe

🧈 bun w butter and cheese. every bakery here offers a sourdough or seeded roll w whipped butter and thin slices of cheese. our #1 spot juno uses comte! no recipe, just combine.

it's been chilly and drizzly, so these fortifying starts to the day have been fitting. eating the vacation way once you're home is such a nice way to bring a trip back, imo. lmk if you try!

💌 and that's the tiny letter! thank you for reading, xo aud
