tiny newsletter #116: not tired of matzo yet

hi friends!

ohhh it was so lovely to have my mom in town for her bday! we ate bread salad at port sa'id, sat a few rows behind lin-manuel miranda at stereophonic (excellent btw), and went to karaoke so she could sing this, but it was closed for a private event.

alas, still a perfect weekend. we were on flower watch the whole time and spotted tulips (1,2) all over town, plus these dr seuss-y blooms.

this week, i...

🫓 went to not 1, not 2, but 3 seders. lucky me!! s/o to fotn ellie and elijah neustein for having me at theirs and s/o to my 5 yr old cousin benny for this pic, lol. chag sameach!

✍️ saw this beatrix potter exhibit. beatrix wrote and illustrated 60+ books including the tale of peter rabbit (!) and was a fierce conservationist too. her illustrated letters stuck w me, v special.

🎧 listened to the tortured poet's department by taylor swift. of c, i had to. this and this are my recs! my mom said i “never listen to happy love songs" and yikes she's right. got any favs?

~ bonus section ~

🦴 an ode to prepared seder plates 🦴 markets in nyc sell ready-to-go seder plates, shank bone and all. i figured i'd have to call butchers and chop apples btwn zooms. great idea, pass it on.
