happy time btwn xmas and the new yr! and happy 100th issue of tiny, can you believe? tysm for hanging here w me for 100 wks!! 

i was just in nh w fotn eleonora saravalle for xmas, am now in fl w my dad's fam for my gp's 75th wedding anni, and will be in upstate ny for new years. (i am going nowhere in 2024!!!)

this wk, can i tell you about nh? we went to stay with nora's mom and pup alfie and i got to join in on their holiday traditions, which include...

🎄 cornucopia ornaments on the tree. nora's mom fills tin cone ornaments (like these) w jelly bellies, choc-covered raisins, and hershey kisses. you can nibble on them tree-side or add sweets to the table in one fell swoop.

🎁 group present wrapping time. instead of wrapping gifts in advance, we did it in tandem while watching bridget jones's diary. passing scissors and tape back and forth over stacks of paper and bows from yrs past > wrapping solo. 

🍽️ themed tablescapes. i'm talking decked tree plates, cups just for eggnog, bright red napkins, and even chicken shaped dishes! the rest of their fam went all out w placesetting too (1, 2). i forgot how fun it is to set a scene.

❓ an ode to din table q's ❓ nora and my cousins have all been asking funny q's that get everyone talking. a few: what's the grossest thing you'd lick for $1 million? if you had to get rid of 1 canadian province, which would you cut? if you were an organ, which would you be?
